As a unit that’s dedicated to supporting wounded, injured and sick UK Service personnel & Veterans, True Heroes Racing is an outfit that’s absolutely fitting to the name they carry. Competing in a number of the support series to the prestigious British Superbike Championship, the team currently race in the British Superstock Championship, the Ducati TriOptions Cup and even in the British Talent Cup. Super Soco UK are delighted to announce that we’ll be supporting the team in this year’s campaign, starting with the recruitment of one of the team’s leading mechanics to the growing Super Soco family.

Nathan Jones has been volunteering with the True Heroes Racing outfit for several years now, working on the team’s Ducati and Suzuki race bikes at both British Superbike Championship events and in the workshop away from racing. The experience he gained from working for True Heroes has ultimately led him to a new civilian career path wokring on electric motorcycles and scooters.

True Heroes Racing’s Founder, Phil Spencer, said; “It’s great for True Heroes Racing and our wider beneficiary activities to be directly supported in a variety of ways by Super Soco UK this year, and this new career opportunity that has been offered to one of our existing beneficiaries is the icing on the cake.”

It’s exactly the kind of break that the outfit aims to assist with thanks to its excellent training, mentoring and assistance program that enables opportunities for UK Service personnel and Veterans outside of the forces. By encouraging social inclusion, the team help to build confidence while inspiring others and aid in the rehabilitation and recovery of Wounded, Injured and Sick (WIS) UK Service personnel & Veterans.

Super Soco UK’s Managing Director, Andrew Fenwick, also added; “What True Heroes Racing do for injured Service personnel and Veterans like Nathan is outstanding! One of the standout elements for me at Nathan’s interview was the fact he was committed to a new start as a civilian and happy to relocate from Wales to Lincolnshire to get that opportunity. That commitment, and need to just be afforded a break, really struck a chord with me and remind me of my earlier life.”

“When we first advertised for this new role, several people applied for it. Nathan earnt the opportunity on his own merits but supporting references from True Heroes Racing also helped.”

Super Soco UK are proud to enter into a supporting partnership with the outfit as they gear up for the new season of racing and the appointment of Nathan marks the start of a blossoming relationship between the outfit and Super Soco UK, with further announcements coming in the following weeks. We’re absolutely delighted to be supporting such a worthy and hard-working team that go above and beyond in the support offered to Armed Forces Veterans.
